Procedure to Download and Install Service Packs

Start MEET MANAGER 8.0 and click Check for Updates at the top of the main screen.

If a Firewall is preventing the Check for Updates process from completing, you can order a Product Replacement CD from the HY-TEK Online Store. Or go to the HY-TEK Download Center, click on Update next to MEET MANAGER 8.0, and SAVE the MEET MANAGER 8.0 Service Pack update file to your hard drive (to c:\Hy-Sport for example). Then start MM 8.0 and click on File / Install Update and follow the prompts.

Resolved the "runtime error 13 type mismatch" that occurred when attempting to open the program.

The new "Generate with XML Files" option on the Run > Preferences > Web Realtime screen window now persists after system restarts.

Added Seiko Timer as our new timer vendor on the Run > Interface > Setup > Timer vendor window.

Streamlined the Wylas integration by introducing a single "Wylas Timing UDP" option on the Run > Interface > Setup > Timer vendor window.

Updated New Zealand Swimming IDs to utilize the character "Z" for padding when a swimmer lacks a middle name.

Australian base times have been updated for the 2023 - 2024 season.

NISCA Power Points have been updated to the 2023 version.

USA Swimming IDs have been updated to no longer include swimmers' middle initial.

 

Version 8.0Eg - November 24, 2023

On the Athlete > Add page, adding an athlete to a newly created meet without any athletes resulted in a Field 'Athlete_Ath_Sex_BS' cannot be a zero-length string error. This issue has been resolved in this release.

On the Run page, uploading Psych Sheets resulted in Subscript out of range (Error Number: 9) or 450 No files found (Error Number: 20142) errors. This issue has been resolved in this release.

FINA points have been updated.

The Reports > Meet Program > a meet > an event > divisions failed to show alternates.This issue has been resolved in this release.

Including start times in the Reports > Meet Program report resulted in incorrect start times for the fastest heats of the distance freestyle. This issue has been resolved in this release.

For Meet ID Format = BS - British Swimming:

oFor cross-gender athletes, you can select the athlete's cross gender from Athletes menu > Add or Edit Athletes page > Cross Gender > Open/Male/Female.

oThe Athletes page > Gen column displays the cross gender for cross-gender swimmers (if you are unable to see cross gender values, then click Layout > Restore Athlete Original Layout).

oCross genders have been added to Athlete And Entry reports.

 

Version 8.0Ee - August 21, 2023

When using a Non-Conforming Course Factor for a non-standard pool length, results uploaded to Meet Mobile from one heat to the next and at the end of the event inconsistently used a mix of adjusted and non-adjusted times. This issue has been resolved in this release.

On the Relays page, selecting the Mixed option with no mixed events resulted in an Unknown error. This issue has been resolved in this release.

On the Relays page, using the Swim-ups option for O1 relay events failed to list S1-S3 division swimmers and O2 relay events failed to list S1-S6 division swimmers. This issue has been resolved in this release.

In 8 leg relays, the name of the eighth leg swimmer failed to be transferred to Omega Quantum AQ scoreboards. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Heat start times in the Reports > Sessions report failed to match those in the Reports > Meet Program report. This issue has been resolved in this release.

In the Reports > Sessions report, coaches can now set the number of dives in a diving event.

Running lane timer sheets reports with the Using Touch Pads checkbox unselected required 5 minutes to generate the report. This issue has been resolved in this release.

For a relay event split between two sessions, clicking the ScratchPad resulted in an Unknown Error. This issue has been resolved in this release.

On a Seeding screen with a Finals session selected, the list of events incorrectly displayed the the number of Scratches prior to prelims (instead of finals). This issue has been resolved in this release.

Session program reports displayed incorrect start times. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Swimmers assigned to final heats can now also be assigned to the best of rest heat as alternate.

“Totally submerged during the race (Except for first 15m following the start or turn).” has been added to Butterfly DQ codes.

Previously, creating a Psych Sheet report with the Reports > Psych Sheet > Filters/Sort Order  > Special Indicators only resulted in an error. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, loading relays in Entry Lists with relay only or athletes and relays resulted in a “3265” error. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, athletes with the same name in the same team were not correctly imported. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, on the Athletes page, clicking any filter resulted in a “3420” error. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, swimmers in a Prelim Final event with a multi-age group were incorrectly placed. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, opening Run > Interfaces > Timer > Open/Close serial port with the CTS6/Gen 7 option resulted in an error. This issue has been resolved in this release.

British Paralympic Points and Swimming Canada Paralympic Points have been updated to the latest versions.

To protect a swimmer’s privacy, coaches can now hide a swimmer's name and age in the Meet Mobile app and Web Real-Time by ticking the Mark as anonymous checkbox in Meet Manager.

Previously, the best of the rest heats for the final round of some age groups were incorrectly labeled. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, relay placing and points were awarded differently depending on the data entry method. This issue has been resolved in this release.

The Australian Multi Class Point Score (MCPS) base times for the 2021-2022 season have been updated to the latest version.

Previously, opening the Reports > Meet Program > 3 columns report resulted in empty columns. This issue has been resolved in this release.

The Australian paralympic point system has been updated to the latest version and now includes S18 Downs Syndrome and S19 Autism classes.

For BCSSA meets, clicking the Events > Records > Update button now only updates records with times in the same event.

Previously, in a meet entry fees report which included a relay, excluding athletes resulted in an incorrect surcharge total. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, the Best of the Rest final heat was incorrectly labeled and is now labeled as Best of the Rest.

Previously, using the Reports > a report > upper printer icon function crashed Meet Manager. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, with no Time Trial events setup, selecting Reports > Teams > Only Time Trials and Include Athlete Names resulted in a report which incorrectly listed non-zero Entry Fees. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, in Reports > Psych Sheet, selecting all meet events resulted in no data in the report. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, Best of the Rest final heats were labeled with incorrect age groups. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Meet Manager now includes the latest USA Swimming Age Group Motivational Time Standards.

Previously, selecting to include heat start times and then selecting All Sessions failed to include heat start times. This issue has been resolved in this release.

The application report for a USMS and/or World Record has been updated to the latest version.

SCM and LCM FINA points have been updated to the latest version.

Previously, unattached swimmers failed to be imported from an entry file. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, creating a psych sheet report resulted in no data. This issue has been resolved in this release.

South African LSC codes HGD, PDS, KCD and ULZ have been added.

 

Version 8.0Ch - April 6, 2021

Meet Manager 8.0 now supports file transfers by SFTP.

On the Seeding the Meet page, Coaches can now select to Hide Athletes when Preview Un-Seeded Event.

Previously, importing an entry file with two athletes with the same name but different ages incorrectly deleted the younger athlete and placed the older athlete in events for both ages. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, on the Sessions page, unseeded events marked P (to print a Psych sheet) appeared in the Meet Program report if only the session with the events was selected, but if all sessions were selected, then the events failed to appear. This issue has been resolved in this release.

In Reports > Meet Results > Save/Memorize, when memorizing a report, the following reminder message is displayed: Only the report settings will be memorized but not the selected events.

When creating a Reports > Record Forms > Record report with Record set to NATL, athletes first and last names were displayed in the incorrect order. This issue has been resolved in this release.

For Omega Quantum AQ timing systems, the Interfaces > Timer (QAQF) > Test Communication with QAQF function is redundant and has been removed.

On the Awards label page, to include newly scored events, Coaches can now click the new Refresh button.

On the Entry / Scoring Preferences > Improvement points tab, Coaches can now assign improvement points to swimmers who are scored in the prelims by  selecting the Score Prelims as Extended Final checkbox.

When Coaches set a Meet Class to Masters, they can now also set the Meet Type to Divisions by Team.

 

Version 8.0Cg - December 3, 2020

In the Sessions Report, checking the Include Actual Start Times checkbox when no actual start times were entered on the Run screen now displays NA in the Actual Start Time column.

Previously, if a team contained only swimmers of a single gender, but was published to the Meet Mobile app as Male, Female, and Combined if both male and female score, then the combined team score was incorrect. This issue has been resolved in this release.

The Backup Statistics Summary report now includes percentages for all columns and totals.

Coaches can now import a roster of athletes into Meet Manager from a .CSV file.

Coaches can now print Lane / Timer Sheets with half of the heats for each event on one page and the other half of the heats on a second page by selecting the Heats > Half Heats Per Page option.

Previously, when an event was seeded with 11 or 12 lanes, exporting start lists to a CTS Scoreboard only exported up to 10 lanes. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Version 8.0Ce - June 18, 2020

DFS statistics has been added to the Reports > Exceptions Report > Miscellaneous tab > Individual Event NS, SCR and DQ statistics by Event option in this release. Once selected, a DFS column will be included in the Exceptions Report.

Previously, clicking the GetTimes button when using the CTS Dolphin would sometimes result in an error. This issue has been resolved in this release.

 

Version 8.0Cd - May 11, 2020

Previously, reaction time was incorrectly imported to all events due to an extra semicolon in the Gen file. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, point scores were incorrect for the S17-class para athletes. This issue has been resolved in this release.

To address privacy concerns, the Meet Summary report > More Options / Splits tab > Include birth date checkbox is now unchecked by default. As a result, birth dates are no longer automatically included in the report.

The following wording changes have been implemented in this release:

oIn general, the term "disabled" has been replaced by "impaired".

oIn meet setup, the term "Disabled" has been replaced by "Para Swimming".

oFor athletes, the term "Disability (T, F)" has been replaced by "Para Classes (T, F)".

A complete list of correct country codes has been updated in this release.

Previously, an overflow error occurred when an event sent compiled results to the scoreboard. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, in the Reports > Meet Summary > Slower than seed time report, swimmers who did not swim the event but declared a false start were incorrectly included in the report, and prelim time was incorrectly displayed for the Prelim - Final Events > Seed time column instead of the actual seed time. These issues have been resolved in this release.

Previously, imported times from Generic timing system (Alge) were incorrect. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, in the Psych Sheet report, the middle column incorrectly displayed empty content. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, for the HyTek/CTS interchange, users were not allowed to enter a Race Number greater than 999. This issue has been resolved in this release and users can now enter a value between 1 and 65535.

Previously, when seeding relay events by clicking Seeding > required session > required relay event > Start Seeding, an "Item Not Found in this Collection" error would occur. This issue has been resolved in this release.

New Features

 

Set-up and Preferences Menu

Setup Divisions / Region Names now supports standard Multi-Class Divisions S1 to S39, SB1 to SB39, and SM1 to SM39. The highest class can also be limited to any number from 14 to 39.

 

Events Menu

In Add or Edit Events, coaches can configure Meet Manager to automatically add a Multi-Age Best of the Rest Final heat to the event.

The Events browser now includes an Event Note column.

In Sessions > SESSION SCHEDULE > Event Interval column, coaches can now enter an event interval in seconds which overrides the default session-level interval.

In Setup and Use Records, when checking for broken records, Meet Manager now checks split results.

 

Athletes Menu

In the Comp# menu, coaches can now order athletes by age by selecting the Order by Athlete age check box.

In the Transfer menu, coaches can now batch transfer all athletes in one team to another team.

 

Run Screen

In Interfaces > Scoreboard > Customize, coaches can now select to use Team Abbreviations.

When entering results for a meet, coaches can now enter Over the Time Limit (OTL) results.

 

Reports Menu

In the Athlete Rosters Report, coaches can now select the No Relay Athletes Only radio button to include only athletes not on a relay.

In the Results Report, coaches can now select the DQ Results check box to include the actual time for DQ results.

In the Meet Program report > Columns / Formats tab, coaches can now select to print All Heats, Odd Heats Only or Even Heats Only.

In the Meet Program report > Include in Meet Program, coaches can now select to Include session break.

In the Meet Summary Report > Report Type / Format / Options tab, coaches can select the new Slower than Seed Time option to list all athletes who swam slower in the meet than their seed time.

 

Labels Menu

In Award Labels, coaches can now select the Use JD Place check box to use places by JD assignment instead of by swimmers' times.
