Service Pack Release Notes

 

 

Procedure to Download and Install Service Packs

Start MEET MANAGER 6.0 and click on Check for Updates at the top of the main screen.        

If a Firewall is preventing the Check for Updates process from completing, you can order a Product Replacement CD from the HY-TEK Online Store. Or go to the HY-TEK Download Center, click on Update next to MEET MANAGER 6.0, and SAVE the MEET MANAGER 6.0 Service Pack update file to your hard drive (to c:\Hy-Sport for example). Then start MM 6.0 and click on File / Install Update and follow the prompts.

 


 

Urgent Critical Security Update Required:

A critical security update to your HY-TEK application is required. To better secure our customers' data, we have updated our software to meet the latest Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards. Please accept the live update to install this critical security update before Aug 24th, 2018. Without this update, you will be unable to push meet results to Meet Mobile after September 4th, 2018.

Previously, the Alberta Youth points were incorrectly calculated for the 800-meter run. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, scoring calculation for Discus Events was incorrect in the Alberta Youth Tables. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, for the "Divisions by Team" Meet Type, no data could be generated in the results report by Heat. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, the 1040 Boys 14-16 Long Jump scoring calculation was incorrect in the Alberta Youth Tables. This issue has been resolved in this release.

 

Version 6.0Fe - December 12, 2019

Now, in the CC/RR results entry screen, users can enter either "DNF" or "dnf" for athletes that started a cross country meet but did not finish.

Previously, when exporting Meet Manager merge of the same meet, teams with no athletes but had a relay entry caused a mismatch in the exported results. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, the 400-Meter scoring calculation was incorrect in the Alberta Youth Tables. This issue has been resolved in this release.

To comply with USATF Competition Rules 7.9 (b), now in the USATF meets, ties between two or more teams are resolved in favor of the team whose last scoring member finishes nearer to first place.

Previously, the basic roster report incorrectly included birth dates when sorting by team. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, the link in the annual Contractor License renewal reminder was incorrect. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, for Meet Type "Divisions by Teams", scoring the event by heat resulted incorrect results in the Results report. This issue has been resolved in this release.

 

Version 6.0Fd - September 3, 2019

Previously, File > Export > Results for NCAA Cross Country > Upload Results resulted in a Please select a meet error. This issue has been resolved in this release.

For compliance with NCAA requirements, in the CC/RR results entry screen, users may now enter DNF for any athlete that started a cross country meet but did not finish. DNF result codes are also exported in File > Export > Results for NCAA Cross Country.

Previously, after using the auto-break-tie feature, the J (judge's decision) flag failed appear in the results report. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Various IPC XML file import and export issues have been resolved in this release.

Previously, exporting results with paralympic athletes to a Flat html report resulted in a Subscript out of range error. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, creating Omega Star start list files generated an unnecessary lynx.sch file. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, heats failed to be seeded in accordance with NCAA Rule 5-11-3a. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, results data sent to a Daktronics scoreboard failed to include the End-of-Transmission byte. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, NCAA Rule 5-11-3b seeding seeded athletes in the correct heats, but not in lanes corresponding to the lane preferences for seeding. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, IPC imports truncated division IDs. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, NCAA Rule 5-11-3a regulations for forming heats was incorrectly applied. This issue has been resolved in this release.

IPC Points can now be applied to disabled athletes.

Previously, foreign athletes were incorrectly listed first (instead of last) in the results and not listed in the results report. This issue has been resolved in this release.

 

Version 6.0Eh - February 20, 2019

Previously, NCAA Rule 5-11-3b seeding seeded athletes in the correct heats, but with lanes not corresponding to the lane preferences for seeding. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, importing disabled athletes into an event from a semicolon delimited file only imported the field classification and failed to import the track classification. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, in the Results report, for athletes without a score, the Event Notes were incorrectly displayed in the Scores column. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, publishing meet general information resulted in an "ACTIVE Works error from sync of Team Rosters" error. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, meet programs incorrectly listed the number of entries after the event name. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, for field event relays, in the Reports > Results > Create report > Results report, the Heat# header failed to be displayed. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, clicking the Run > Awards button crashed the program. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, exporting events for TFTM by clicking File > Export > Meet Events for Team Manager > OK resulted in a "DynaZIP ZIP Error: Nothing to do!" error. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Meet Manager can now import and export IPC Sport Data Management System XML (SDMX) files.

Coaches can now select Set-up > Seeding Preferences > Seeding Rules > Apply NCAA rule 5-11-3a to apply NCAA rule 5-11-3a seeding to meets where the current meet in indoors, the meet class is College, the event is prelim-final and advancement based on time, and the current event is prelim round.

Previously, in Seeding > EVENT LIST, 2 x 50 meter relays were incorrectly displayed as 2 x 50 mile relays. This issue has been resolved in this release.

In Help > Online Help Center, the File Menu > Import Menu > Import Entries from a Semi-Colon Delimited File article now indicates that for athletes with both F and T disability codes, the two codes should be separated by a space character.

Previously, field event results could not be entered in English measurements with a decimal. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, if the Run > CC/RR > Include splits > Score > List & Team Score > Include splits check-box was checked, then only women's results were exported. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, on the Run screen, selecting a Cross Country event and pressing F10 to upload scores resulted in a file with mixed gender team scores. In this release, male and female Cross Country scores are separately listed.

Entry of partial-inch javelin, discus and hammer throw results are now automatically rounded down to the lesser whole inch.

In the single column courier results report, the Alternate header has been removed.

Previously, on the Run screen, selecting a relay event whose event number ends in a letter and then clicking the List button resulted in an Unknown Error. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, using the File > Export > Generic Data in MS Access export feature resulted in a field is too small error. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, in Reports > Scores > Report Gender Choices, selecting a specific gender still resulted in all gender's and combined scores being displayed, and combined scores were displayed under the women's scores instead of in a combined section. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, on the Preview / Adjust page, double-clicking an athlete under Eligible Athletes failed to add the athlete to the event. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, using File > Duplicate to duplicate a past meet to a future date and then using the File > Export > Meet Events for Team Manager on the new meet resulted in a "Meet start date has passed" error message. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, generating relay reports resulted in errors 3075 and 91 and a blank report. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, when importing relay entries from a CSV file, relay teams with 5-digit team abbreviations incorrectly created new teams using only the first four digits of the team abbreviations. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, ResulTV scoreboards (using the Daktronics Fixed Digit option) paged through all of the results only once, before displaying a blank page. This issue has been resolved in this release.

NCAA meets can now select to follow NCAA rule 5-11.3b to seed final races, where 8 athletes must be accommodated on a track with fewer than 8 lanes by being seeded in two heats, where heat 1 has athletes 3-4-6-8 and heat 2 has athletes 1-2-5-7.

Users of Fair-Play scoreboards can now set the number of athletes per page at: Run > Interfaces > Scoreboard - Fair-Play/TransLux Full Matrix > Customize > Maximum Number of Athletes per Page.

Results for athletes with disability codes are now scored and ranked in a separate group together with all other athletes with the same disability code.

Previously, the Run > Preferences > Web Real-Time > Results By Heat/Flight and Compiled option was ignored by the Run > Web > Log-in > Upload Results for Completed Rounds button. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Interfacing to Fair-Play (previously known as Fairtron) scoreboards is now supported.

Previously, selecting Reports > Events > Sort > Event # failed to sort the Event List, Detailed Event List and Event Comments reports by event #. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, in Seeding > Combine, combining entries for two events (after correcting mismatched age ranges) resulted in an Unknown Error. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, in Real time Results to the web, after uploading the last completed heat, the Last Heat Result failed to display times for the athletes. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, an error message is displayed when a computer attempts to open a database which is already opened in multi-user mode by another computer. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, if Teams > Add > Meet Class is set to USATF or IAAF and a team is added, then an error message is displayed unless an Association or the No Association option is selected. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Coaches can now use the Association field for non-USTAF meets.

In Seeding > Preview, when Entered Only is selected, the Alt (Alternate) column of tick boxes is now editable.

Previously, clicking File > Export > Semi-colon Delimited Results > OK may have resulted in an Invalid use of Null error. This issue has been resolved in this release.

 

Version 6.0Cb - January 4, 2017

Coaches can now use the Duplicate this Meet function to create a new new meet from an existing meet. Coaches are prompted to enter the new meet name, date, and location, and may delete any existing entries, seeding, scores, and teams.

Previously, when Run > Adjust : F8 > Show Eligible Athletes or Eligible Athletes + Age-ups was selected, an application error may occur. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, when Set-up > Meet Set-up > Meet Type > -Divisions- > By Event and Use Division Birthdate Ranges were selected, an error message would appear if Set-up > Division / Region Names > Divisions > Youth USATF > final date was set to later than 12/29/2016. This issue has been resolved in this release.

This is the first release of the new 6.0 version of MEET MANAGER.

 

New Features

 

Run Menu

In Run > Preferences > Web Real-Time, you can now select to include Competitor Numbers in Web Real Time Results.

In Run > Adjust > Eligible Athletes, you can use the new Alt column to mark an athlete as an Alternate. Non-alternate athletes are not eligible to progress into the next round.

 

Setup Menu

In Set-up > Options, you can now batch convert field event results between Metric and English units.

Youth USATF age divisions in Set-up > Division/Region Names > Divisions have been updated to conform with the most recent USATF age divisions.

 

Import / Export

When importing entries from a semi-colon delimited file, you can now mark an athlete as an alternate entry to an event.

Team scores are now included when exporting results to semi-colon delimited results files.

Previously, after importing a roster file, head coaches failed to be listed on the team edit screen, and then would then be blanked on the team browser. This issue has been fixed in this release.

You can now import a semi-colon delimited file to only update seed times without adding new athletes or entries.

 

Athlete Menu

In Athletes > Add or Edit Athletes, you can now add a disability classification for disabled athletes.

 

Teams/Schools Menu

In the Teams or Schools pages, you can now record the Team or School’s association in the Association field.

 

Records

You can now import Records from a manually-created, CSV-formatted Records file.

 

Reports

In Report > Team Assignments Report (CC), you can now generate a Cross Country Team Assignments report.

The Meet Check-in report now displays full team names, instead of team abbreviations.

You can now view the dates on which entries or scratches were entered by running the Entry/Scratch Date report in Reports > Entry Lists Report.

You can now select to display full team names or team abbreviations in single-column-formatted Meet Program and Meet Result reports.

If an athlete’s contact information has a blank city, then you can now select to display the team’s city in front of the team name in reports.

You can now include sub-events when printing reports by ticking the Include sub-events checkbox.
