Service Pack Release Notes

 

 

Procedure to Download and Install Service Packs

Start MEET MANAGER 7.0 and click Check for Updates at the top of the main screen.

If a Firewall is preventing the Check for Updates process from completing, you can order a Product Replacement CD from the HY-TEK Online Store. Or go to the HY-TEK Download Center, click on Update next to MEET MANAGER 7.0, and SAVE the MEET MANAGER 7.0 Service Pack update file to your hard drive (to c:\Hy-Sport for example). Then start MM 7.0 and click on File / Install Update and follow the prompts.

 


 

Urgent Critical Security Update Required:

A critical security update to your HY-TEK application is required. To better secure our customers' data, we have updated our software to meet the latest Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards. Please accept the live update to install this critical security update before Aug 24th, 2018. Without this update, you will be unable to push meet results to Meet Mobile after September 4th, 2018.

FINA points have been updated in this release.

Previously, in the Psych Sheet report, the middle column incorrectly displayed empty content. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, for the HyTek/CTS interchange, users were not allowed to enter a Race Number greater than 999. This issue has been resolved in this release and users can now enter a value between 1 and 65535.

 

Version 7.0Fh - February 6, 2020

To comply with the request from Swimming Australia, the Australian Paralympic Point System has been updated in this release.

Previously, for the "Divisions by Entry" Meet Type, no points were awarded when scoring an event. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, after a recent service pack release, the Athlete Entry Count and Team Entry Fees reports contained incorrect or missing information. This issue has been resolved in this release.

 

Version 7.0Ff - November 14, 2019

Previously, the Meet Program report incorrectly changed depending on the selected teams. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, the Meet Entry Fee report display an incorrect Total. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, on CTS Scoreboards, swimmers' first and last names were both displayed in the last name field. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, unattached swimmers in SD3 files were imported incorrectly into Meet Manager as attached. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, on CTS Scoreboards, when lane 0 is empty, swimmers are imported to one lane below their assigned lane. This issue has been resolved in this release.

On-screen copy has been adjusted to indicate that the FINA rules timing adjustment method is acceptable for a College meet.

 

Version 7.0Fe - July 18, 2019

Previously, in the Reports > Meet Program > Include in Meet Program tab, if the number of columns was set to 2 and an event with no entries was selected, then the header text displayed "No entries for this even". This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, in a prelim-final event with a custom heat order, alternates were both incorrectly selected and placed. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, MM failed to automatically evaluate results sent from a Wylas Recorder and mark the event as done. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, changing the location for one of the Generic Network File Sharing: IST or CTS Dolphin Backup Mode interfaces also changed the location for the other interface, making it impossible to use both interfaces together. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, for Quantum AQ timing systems, uploading start lists that included Short names failed to include the designator. Also, selecting Lastname, Firstname athlete name formatting failed to include the comma between the last name and first name. These issues have been resolved in this release.

Previously, creating a swim-off event intermittently failed to place swimmers in the event. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, opening a BCSSA meet created under MM6 in MM7 resulted in incorrect divisions. This issue has been resolved in this release.

 

Version 7.0Fc - May 9, 2019

Previously, for a Divisions by Time Standards meet, the final Result Report included duplicated results. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, splitting an event between two sessions and moving the heats resulted in heats being duplicated on lane timer sheets for both sessions. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, the swim-off auto break tie feature was not correctly breaking tied swimmers. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, lane timer sheets configured to print on A4 paper were truncated. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Canadian Paralympic Points have been updated for both LCM and SCM.

Previously, in the Meet entry fee report, selecting Reports > Team > Entry Fee Summary > Include Scratches, Include Exhibition Swims, Include Athlete Names, Separate Page Each Team and Include Time Trials resulted in truncation of the report Total for amounts over $10,000. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, swimmers using an event age failed to be flagged as achieving a standard. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, in 3-column heat sheets, the first digit of the mile or 1500 event record is truncated. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, in heat sheets for flighted events, the event name in brackets was unnecessarily displayed again below the event header. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, when using Generic Network File Sharing for: IST or Omega Quantum AQ File sharing scoreboards, the configured last name, first name customization options failed to apply. This issue has been resolved in this release.

FINA points have been updated to the latest version.

 

Version 7.0Fb - March 14, 2019

FINA DQ codes have been updated to the latest version.

Previously, including messages 1 and 2 on 2-column or 3-column meet program reports resulted in almost-empty 2nd or 3rd columns on later pages. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, the File > Duplicate function failed to reset the Labels > Awards Labels > Printed check-boxes. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, in the Reports > Results or Scores reports, a swimmer in a final who was replaced by another swimmer was incorrectly displayed as having a final result. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Canadian Paralympic Points have been updated to include LCM and SCM points.

Previously, importing IPC entries resulted in a zero-length string error. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, meets with Set-up > Meet Set-up > Meet Type > - Divisions - > Time Standards and two standards selected for scoring failed to list Prelim results. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, scratched prelim-round exhibition athletes were incorrectly included in the results. This issue has been resolved in this release.

 

Version 7.0Fa - January 25, 2019

Previously, when using a Quantum scoreboard with the Run > Interfaces > a Quantum scoreboard > Customize > Relay Names > 'Relay - A' option selected, the Quantum scoreboard start list files failed to include the Relay A (or B or C) label for display on the scoreboard. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, award labels for a super final heat were not be labeled as a Super Final. This issue has been resolved in this release.

 

Version 7.0Eh - January 11, 2019

Previously, seeding failed to correctly seed dual meet lane assignments. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Psych sheets, meet program reports and meet results reports can now be configured to display up to three custom text messages (e.g. NO Flash Photography) in their footers.

Previously, when using an Alge timing system, times were incorrectly assigned to the next lane up (lane 0 time was assigned to lane 1, lane 1 time was assigned to lane 2, etc). This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, clicking Reports > Teams > Create Report resulted in an Unknown Error. This issue has been resolved in this release.

The BCSSA LSC abbreviation for the Vancouver District has been updated from VD to V&D.

To ensure that meet names, session names, event names and swimmers' first, middle and last names can be displayed in the Meet Mobile (MMO) app, control characters are now automatically deleted from these fields before they are pushed to the Meet Mobile app.

The Help > Tech Support telephone number has been updated to: 1-877-692-0111 (option 3).

 

Version 7.0Eg - December 13, 2018

Previously, with the Reports > Teams > Entry Fee Summary > Include Relay Only Alternates setting unchecked, relay athletes and fees were still included in the Team Entry Fee report. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, in Run > Get Times, CTS Dolphin files failed to be listed in chronological order from the most recent file at the top to the oldest file at the bottom. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, on a real-time results web-page, clicking the Google Play Store icon opened a blank page and failed to open the corresponding Google Play Store page. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, clicking the Run > Awards button crashed the application. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Australian Multi-Class Points have been updated to the latest version.

Previously, files sent to a CTS DisplayLink caused displayed names to be skewed. This issue has been resolved in this release.

The website address displayed on the Help > About page has been updated to https://hytek.active.com.

Website addresses have been updated from hy-tekltd.com to hytek.active.com. Email addresses have been updated from sales@hy-tekltd.com to hy-teksupport@active.com, and support@hy-tekltd.com to Hy-tek.support@active.com.

FINA LCM and SCM points have been updated to the latest version.

Users can now add additional licenses via web delivery by selecting: File > License Management > Add License > Add from web delivery.

Quantum start list files now correctly include the Short Team Name and Team Abbreviation.

Previously, in multi-user mode, when a computer was refreshed, the time for the first lane of the selected heat disappeared on one of the computers. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, selecting Reports > Meet Program > Psych List - Sort Order > Flighting meet and entering 2 heats resulted in events 1-9 and 11-13 flighting only one heat. This issue has been resolved in this release.

The misspelled description for the custom DQ code 2R has been corrected.

Previously, generating a Reports > Exceptions Report for relay-age entries with a team selected in the Filters > Team drop-down resulted in a 3315 error. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, Labels > Entry Cards/Labels > Label Selection > Laser > 3.5" x 8.5" (1x3) labels did not provide adequate space in the designated fields for Timers to type the times. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, columns in the calculations report were not correctly aligned. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, when using the Colorado Time Systems Dolphin with Splits timing system, CTS Dolphin files failed to be displayed in time order. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, when using a Generic scoreboard with the UDP Ethernet connection method, requesting complete results resulted in an Unknown Error. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, for Standard Meet Type BCSSA events, the oldest division in the finals was incorrectly placed in the first heat instead of the last heat. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, for BCSSA meets, OCat Div 8 relays with the swim-up option only displayed O swimmers and did not include all other swimmers eligible to enter the relay. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Version 7.0Ea - June 13, 2018

BCSSA age divisions have been updated to the May 1st, 2018 version. S8 division swimmers are now re-categorized in the O8 division.

Previously, for a meet setup with divisions by team, Labels > Award Labels > Select All, then Create Labels failed to display the correct team divisions. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, on Windows 7, creating or updating an agency in Set-up > Meet Mobile Publishing > Active.com Account Setup resulted in a This file is already open error. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, for users of the Wylas Timing UDP Automatic Interface, due to PC date and time format settings, Meet Manager sent meet dates in Response#6 in MM-dd-yyyy format, instead of the correct MM/dd/yyyy format. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, for users of Quantum-AQ scoreboards, with relays setup for more than 4 relay legs/swimmers, the Run > Interfaces > Scoreboard > Create Start List File included only 4 swimmers from the relay. This issue has been resolved in this release.

For users of Quantum-AQ scoreboards, selecting the Run > Interfaces > Scoreboard > Customize > Relay Names > Short Team Name now writes the Short Team Name into the Team Abbreviation field in the Start List File for the scoreboard.

Previously, if no relay events existed, then clicking Run > Relays resulted in an Unknown error followed by closure of the application. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, the Run > Preferences > Run Screen > Set Cursor to Backup Column feature failed to function when in multi-user mode. This issue has been resolved in this release.

The Set-up > Report Preferences > Report Headers tab > Sanction # field now supports sanction numbers up to 20 characters in length.

Previously, selecting an option in Reports > Exceptions Report > Miscellaneous tab resulted in the re-appearance of the removed Athletes with less than the minutes interval option. This issue has been resolved in this release.

In Set-up > Entry / Scoring Preferences > Disability Meet > Paralympic Point System, World Para Swimming Points are now supported.

Previously, in the Reports > Meet Program > Columns / Format tab, selecting Columns > Single, Format > 1 Event Per Page and Columns > RTF Export resulted in an exported RTF report with an extra blank line after each line in the program. This issue has been resolved in this release.

This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, in Set-up > Meet Set-up, selecting ID Format > USAS - USA Swimming, Class > High School and Time Adjustment Method > FINA rules incorrectly resulted in an error message popup, whilst selecting Time Adjustment Method > USA Swimming rules prior to 1 May 2016 should have resulted in a confirmation popup, but did not. This issue has been resolved in this release.

 

Version 7.0De - February 12, 2018

Previously, the Single Column Meet Program report would split heats spanning across two pages. In this release, this report has been updated to move a complete heat onto the next page, instead of splitting it across two pages.

Previously, the File > Import > USA Swimming OnLine Entries feature failed to import mixed-gender relay entries. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, the Reports > Meet Program > Less Than Interval report miscalculated the time interval between two events swum by the same athlete. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, with Set-up > Meet Set-up > DQ Codes set to FINA DQ Codes, in Run > DQcode, the GA code was unavailable for selection. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, installing Meet Manager 7.0 for Swimming on a machine with MS Word already installed caused MS Word to become unusable. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, in Reports > Psych Sheets, for relay event entries, the NT entries are not sorted by age. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, selecting Reports > Psych Sheets > Include in Psych Sheet > Entry Times results in random page breaks in the report. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, selecting Reports > Exceptions Report > Miscellaneous > Athletes with less than the minutes interval resulted in events with intervals exceeding this time being included in the report. This issue has been resolved in this release.

In Set-up > Meet Set-up > DQ Codes, new UK-ASA DQ Codes Oct 2017 are now available.

For prelims swum in Yards pools and finals swum in Short Course Meters (SCM) pools, Yard standards are now directly applied to the prelims and SCM standards are now directly applied to the finals, instead of converting the results.

Previously, non-ASCII characters in UK-ASA DQ Codes files caused checksum errors when importing results. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, in Scratch Reports, the total average 'No Show (NS)' scratch rate was incorrect. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, enabling the Reports > Teams > Entry Fee Summary > Include Time Trial option when there were no time-trial events in the meet resulted in discrepancies in the report. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, Meet Manager 7.0 for Swimming would intermittently create blank reports, which could only be remedied by an uninstall and reinstall, only for the problem to reoccur later. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, creating any report resulted in an "Object invalid or no longer set" error. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, selecting Short Team Names still incorrectly sent Team Abbreviations to the scoreboard. This issue has been resolved in this release.

The TUSS.std standards file has been updated.

Previously, duplicating a database with multi-age group events failed to copy the multi-age groups, only the overall event age was copied. This issue has been resolved in this release.

In Reports > Meet Check-in, selecting all events and creating the report resulted in some events being out of numerical order. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, after installing an update, Meet Manager would display an error message the first time it was run. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, in a meet program with a custom heat order, alternates were displayed in the wrong heats. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, using File > Duplicate to duplicate a past meet to a future date and then using the File > Export > Events for TM on the new meet resulted in a "Meet start date has passed" error message and the new meet displaying information from the old meet. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, in multi-age group Scratch List reports, dividing lines were not displayed between heats for each age group. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Previously, in Reports > Psych Sheets, NT entries for relay events were not sorted by age. This issue has been resolved in this release.

Obsolete references in the product help for the Real-Time Results to Web feature on heat sheet and last event completed upload functions have been deleted.

Previously, finals were seeded incorrectly with fewer than the expected number of swimmers. This issue has been resolved in this release.

 

Version 7.0Cc - July 3, 2017

The formatting of the MRF file generated by Reports > Results > Report Type > Export File > British Ranking has been corrected to remove the final blank line and make the file compatible with the British Swimming online MRF Results Data Validation tool.

The Reports > Meet Program > Psych List - Sort Order tab > Flighting meet check box is now unchecked by default, and this setting is retained after database backups.

Printed Scratch Sheet reports showed incorrect events and athletes. This issue has been resolved in this release.

 

Version 7.0Cb - June 27, 2017

In File > Export > Results for SwimCloud, Coaches can now export meet results to SwimCloud.

Previously, updating the backup time for an athlete and then clicking the Calc button failed to update the AdjustedPL on the Time Adjustment popup. This issue has been resolved in this release.

On Lane Timer sheets, all long distance (1500m and above) heats are kept on one page.

New Features

 

File Menu

In File > Duplicate, you can now duplicate an existing meet to create a new meet with new Start, End and Age-up Dates and selectively purge Entries, Seeding, Scores and Teams data.

 

Set-up Menu

When using the Timed Final Multi-Age Super Seed feature, in the Set-up > Entry / Scoring Preferences > Disability Meet tab, disabled swimmers can be set to be seeded together with all other swimmers by checking the If Timed Final Multi-Age Seed is set, seed Multi-Class Athletes with their age group check-box.

To lock seeded events against reseeding, check the Set-up > Seeding Preferences > Basic > Lock all events for reseed check-box.

 

Relays Menu

In Relays > Add a Relay, an Athlete can be assigned to a position on a Relay Team by clicking and dragging the athlete from the Eligible Athletes list into the Relay Order list.

 

Run Screen

In the Run > F9 > Prelims Scratch Sheet, you can print out the current data grid as a report. On the generated report, each heat is separated by lines based on the next round's heat and lane settings. If there is a tie for any slot requiring a swim-off, then a warning will be displayed and you can select to continue or abort printing the report.

When setting-up a swim-off, tied athletes or teams are automatically listed for you to select to seed for the swim-off event.

In the Run > Calc > Time Adjustment screen, Adjusted HPL and Adjusted PL columns show the adjusted heat placings and adjusted placings, respectively.

The Run > Reports menu now offers a set of reports that is consistent with the Reports menu.

If an event has swim-off event results, then Meet Manager can automatically break ties based on the swim-off results and create the Judge's Decision placings.

 

Reports Menu

In Reports > Entry Lists, exhibition entries are marked with an X in front of the entry time.

To include split boxes in the Lane/Timer Sheet, check the Reports > Lane/Timer Sheets > Parameters > Include Splits check box and then select a Split Distance.

The Reports > Entry Lists report has been re-formatted for better readability.

For UK-based meets only, in the Reports > Psych Sheet report, when sorting by Slow to fast or Fast to slow, No Time entries are always sorted from youngest-to-oldest.

To generate flighting meets, in which the fastest heats of each event are placed together, check the Reports > Meet Program > Psych List - Sort Order > Flighting meet check-box and enter the number of fastest heats to place in a flight in the Fastest heats for A flight box.

In Reports > Exceptions Reports > Miscellaneous, you can now select to include swimmers whose time intervals between seedings is less than the entered number of minutes.

In the Reports > Exceptions Report > Max Entries tab, you can now generate a report to list athletes who exceed the Max Bonus entries and have fewer than the Min qualified time entries.

In the Reports > Teams > Entry Fee Summary tab, check the Only Time Trial check box to list only Time Trial events.
